Hi, I'm Heather! I'm a stay-at-home mom to two little boys, originally from Huntsville, Alabama, and now happily planted in rural Georgia.
After having my oldest, I found myself living in a new place and needing a creative outlet - something that was just mine. Somewhere around the time my oldest missed out on Best Dressed at Mother's Morning Out, I decided it was my mission for him to win the next year. Before I knew it, I was buying my first embroidery machine from a woman in a Dollar General Parking Lot.
And, just like that, Loblolly Custom Creations was born, a nod to our family's roots in farming and forestry. What started as a little side hustle became a business I absolutely love and a connection to the community we now call home.
Over the years, that little idea has grown and changed right along with me, eventually outgrowing Loblolly and becoming Harker Jo, with plenty of new things added along the way. I'm so grateful for everyone who has supported me through every version of this business.
When I'm not creating, you can usually find me chasing my boys around the farm, needlepointing, reading (or listening for max efficiency!) a good book, or watching Auburn sports - War Eagle!

WHO ARE HARKER & JO?
Harker is a nod to my late mother-in-law, who passed away in 2023. She only had a son, but always said that if she'd had a daughter, she would have named her Laura Harker. She was the epitome of southern grace and loved making a house feel like a home. We miss her dearly, and I know without a doubt she would have been Harker Jo's number one customer.
Jo comes from my mom's middle name, she's always been my number one fan since the day I was born and is always right there cheering on my next idea - no matter how big or slightly crazy it may be. She's a lover of all things creative and shares my needlepoint obsession, so having a piece of her in the name just felt right.
Together, Harker Jo is a little piece of two women who have shaped our family, inspired our creativity, and taught me a thing or two about making life beautiful.
